Escape to the stunning Shropshire Hills for an exhilarating trail running weekend with Running Adventures, hosted by Matt Buck, an experienced ultra runner, running coach and Salomon ambassador.
Nestled in one of the UK's most scenic regions, our Trail Running Summer Camp offers an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking landscapes surrounding the famous Stiperstones to the west and the majestic Long Mynd to the east. With lush forests, meandering waterways, and rolling hills right at our doorstep, you’ll have the perfect setting for a weekend of trail running, skill-building, and relaxation.
What to expect at our Running Adventures Trail Running Summer Camp...
Our Summer Camp is an intimate, low-key mini festival dedicated to the joy of trail running. Spend your weekend with a community of like-minded adventurers, learning new skills, and socialising in the heart of nature. Each day, you'll have the opportunity to join a guided trail run, with multiple distances and pace groups available to suit your preferences.
Our runs will explore the beautiful local area, visit the Long Mynd on Saturday and the Stiperstones on Sunday, you will get to enjoy everything this location has to offer.
In addition to running, we offer a trail technique workshop and engaging talks to enhance your experience. As the day winds down, unwind with delicious homemade meals and perhaps a drink or two, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow runners.

Prepare to be captivated by the dramatic scenery of the Shropshire Hills, known for their steep valleys and exceptional trails. Each guided run is led by our experienced and qualified coaches, ensuring you can enjoy the adventure at a comfortable, social pace. Remember, this is not a race—it's about enjoying the journey together. Our runs are designed to keep the group together, so faster runners should expect a more leisurely pace.
You’ll have three run distance and pace options to choose from each day, ensuring there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or a newcomer. While previous trail running experience isn't required, comfort with the planned distances is recommended. The terrain will vary from smooth paths to technical, rocky trails, with some sections better suited to hiking. Don’t worry, our guides will be there to provide coaching and support, helping you master the techniques needed to navigate these trails safely.
Join us solo or with friends...
Traveling alone? No problem! Many of our participants come solo and leave with a whole new group of friends. You’ll feel right at home in our friendly, welcoming community.

ACCOMMMODATION
This event offers two accommodation options, bunkhouse or camping. Please note that the whole event has very limited numbers.
Dependant on breakdown of male/female registrants, some bunkhouse rooms may be mixed sex, please contact me if you'd prefer to be in a single sex room and I will try my best to accommodate.
Sadly we cannot accommodate Camper Vans.

meet your hostI’m Matt Buck, a Salomon and Suunto Ambassador, experienced trail and ultra runner, mountain leader, qualified guide, and coach.
I’ve taken on some of the world’s toughest races and challenges, fueling my passion for trail running and adventure. With over 20 years of experience hosting events, I promise to provide expert guidance, inspiration, and seamless organisation throughout the weekend. All you need to do is run, relax, and enjoy the epic trails, I'll worry about the rest. |

Running Adventures like to look after their guests, on this event, ALL guided runs, coaching sessions, workshops, and talks are included in the price. Breakfast and dinner is included (inc vegan options). You can even bring your own drinks, there are no expensive 'festival bars', we'll even shout you some Athletic Brewing Company beers to enjoy by the fire.

- The remaining balance is due 10 weeks before the event.
