Location: Leith Hill, Surrey
£130 - Whole Weekend
£69 - Single day option
Running Adventures and Wild Trail Runners are joining forces to deliver a brilliant weekend of trail running fun, coaching, talks and laughs.
Your hosts for the weekend will be experienced Salomon athletes and trail running coaches; Matt Buck (Running Adventures) and Maggie May Dempsey (Wild Trail Runners). We guarantee that you will leave having had all your trail running questions answered, and with new trail running skills and knowledge to take your running onto another level.
This weekend is designed to teach you every aspect of trail running, you will learn how to pace your races, tackle the hills in the correct way, improve your technique, basic navigation, work on nutrition and much more. The whole weekend is a trail running question and answer session and we can guarantee that every question you have will be answered. We'll also have some time to chill in the bunkhouse and enjoy the relaxing, quiet, surroundings.
The bunkhouse is nestled into the side of Leith Hill, the highest point in south east England, and has awesome trails on the doorstep. Leith Hill is just 30 miles from London and the bunkhouse is just a short taxi ride from Dorking train station.
We will run at a social pace and walk the hills if we have to. This is not a race! We will stay as a group so if you are a faster runner, please expect to run slower than you would normally. Previous trail running experience is not necessary. The terrain will be hilly and varied. The views will be incredible. You should be able to cover the distances at a pace of at least 10-11 min/miles to enjoy this event.
We will have Salomon trail shoes and race vests to trail during the weekend PLUS some special gifts for everyone to take away.
Note. You DO NOT need to be a member of Wild Trail Runners to join this event, everyone is welcome.
